How long does a cleaning take?
Cleaning times vary based on home size, layout, and condition. For a typical 2,000 sq ft home, maintenance visits are scheduled to allow sufficient time for thorough, detail-oriented cleaning. We schedule visits by scope—not by rushing against the clock.
Will the same cleaner come each time?
Yes, whenever possible. We prioritize assigning the same cleaning professional to your home for recurring services to ensure consistency, familiarity, and trust.
Are your cleaners employees or independent contractors?
All of our cleaners are background-checked W-2 employees, not independent contractors. This ensures proper training, accountability, and compliance with California labor laws.
Are you insured?
Yes. The Polished Home is fully insured, including general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, for your peace of mind.
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes. We bring professional-grade cleaning supplies and equipment. If you prefer the use of specific products in your home, we are happy to accommodate upon request.
How do I pay for services?
Payment is due on the day of service. We accept major credit and debit cards, and a card on file is required for recurring services.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be charged to cover reserved labor time.
What if something is damaged during a cleaning?
While rare, any damage must be reported within 24 hours of service so we can promptly address the issue. Client satisfaction and transparency are important to us.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Many clients choose to provide entry instructions or a key code. We follow strict access and security procedures to protect your home.
